Baccarat Hotel New York’s Culinary Director, Gabriel Kreuther, is partnering with Rare Champagne and Cinco Jotas Ibérico Ham to Offer an interactive cooking class.

Five world-class luxury lifestyle brands join forces for the first time to offer an exclusive virtual live master class for a limited number of participants. The Zoom event will take place on Wednesday, August 12, at 6 pm (Eastern), presented from the hotel’s sparkling Grand Salon. Chef Kreuther will demonstrate how to make Langoustine Tartare with Basil and Moroccan Olive Crisp topped with Cinco Jotas Jamón and Golden Ossetra Caviar. This Michelin star-worthy surf and turf is paired with Rare Rosé Millésime 2008 served in Baccarat Grand Bourgogne Degustation crystal tasting glasses. 

"Cinco Jotas Jamón is just the best jamón in the world, and adding it on top of a sweet and spicy langoustine tartare makes it shine perfectly through the luscious texture of the raw langoustine," says Chef Kreuther. "Finishing it with the briny Golden Ossetra Caviar makes it a true summer feast! This is the best summery surf and turf that I love to enjoy with a great glass of Rare Champagne."

The hotel’s Wine Director, Matthieu Yamoum, will share his expertise on the Rare Rosé Millésime 2008 and why it pairs so well with the dish. "This champagne is an atypical rosé because of its unique blend," says Matthieu. "It includes a majority of chardonnay, and gives it a beautiful roundness while still having notes of red fruits and oriental spices. The rosé is also an equally perfect match for Baccarat’s Grand Bourgogne Degustation glass, which allows for a flavorful balance of the aromatic depth of the wine’s bouquet," he adds.
