This year's tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023, accompanied by spectacular performances and live music. The tree will remain illuminated daily from 5 a.m. to midnight until early January, shining for 24 hours on Christmas Day and from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

It features a 17,000-square-foot ice-skating rink that anyone can enjoy by just bringing their own skates. Additionally, the Winter Village is brimming with holiday spirit, offering a wide array of over 180 new and returning kiosks for the ultimate holiday shopping experience in one of the city's most delightful parks.

Holiday Train Show at Grand Central Terminal

The New York Transit Museum presents the beloved Holiday Train Show, featuring Lionel model trains traversing a 34-foot-long, two-level, “O” gauge model train layout that winds through miniature replicas of the city's iconic landmarks, including a miniaturized Grand Central Terminal.

The Balloon Museum

After successful exhibitions in major cities such as Madrid, Milan, Paris, and Rome, the Balloon Museum is making its debut at Pier 36 in The Seaport this fall. The museum's latest exhibit, "Let’s Fly," is set to run from October 27 through January 14, 2024. Visitors are encouraged to engage with the installation, offering tactile interactions with various showcased pieces, including a massive 4,000-square-foot ball pit, inflatable lava lamps, and captivating infinity rooms.

Art by Basquiat and Warhol

Celebrating the collaborative efforts of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat in the 1980s, a new gallery exhibition titled "Basquiat x Warhol" from Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, France, is set to take the spotlight. This exhibition, which unveils nearly 160 canvases from their partnership, can be seen at the Brant Foundation in the East Village from November 1 through January 7, 2024.
